A Hysteresis Algorithm for Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Based on VBR Video Traffic Prediction

  • 摘要: 研究表明VBR視頻流量具有較強的長時相關性和突發(fā)性,該文利用高階自回歸過程預測其流量,并進行概率分布轉換,同時提出了一種新的動態(tài)帶寬分配算法--滯回算法,與Chiruvolu(1998)提出的門限算法,及Iraqi(1999)提出的基于GOP場景檢測的帶寬分配方案相比,對緩存尺寸的需求、信元丟失率等性能有明顯提高。仿真表明,該算法能夠以較低的開銷(帶寬重分配次數(shù)百分比2%)同時兼顧了信元丟失率和帶寬利用率,而且只有在緩存隊長超過迂回門限時才觸發(fā)帶寬重分配過程,有利于在線實現(xiàn)。
